Man arrested following child approach near Grafton, NSW

A man will face court today following investigations into an alleged child approach last week, NSW Police say.

On Friday 5 May 2017, three children, aged between six and 10, were walking along Baillies Road, Copmanhurst, about 30km west of Grafton, when a car slowed down next to them.

The male driver, who was with a female companion, attempted to engage the children in conversation, before leaving the area.

About 3.20pm tomorrow, police spoke to a 73-year-old man in relation to the incident.

He was arrested and taken to Grafton Police Station where he was charged with breach of bail.

He will appear in Grafton Local Court today.
