A 51-year-old man has been arrested following a police operation at Muswellbrook today, NSW Police say.
Police were called to a house on Tindale Street just before 12pm (Wednesday 7 March 2018), following reports the man had barricaded himself inside a home.
Officers from Hunter Valley Police District along with other specialist police attended the scene and commenced negotiations with the man.
About 3.30pm, the man was arrested without incident and was taken to Muswellbrook police station where he is being assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics.
Inquiries are continuing.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
