Police have arrested a man following a fatal altercation in Richmond yesterday evening., Victoria Police say
Police and emergency services were called Church Street Richmond following reports of a dispute just before 8.15pm.
A man was treated at the scene for stab wounds and died en route to hospital.
Police arrested a 34-year-old Port Melbourne man a short time later.
He remains in custody and is assisting police with their enquiries.
