Man arrested following stand-off with police, NSW

A man has been arrested following a nearly two-hour stand-off with police at Hurlstone Park this afternoon, NSW Police say.

About 12pm (Friday 29 December 2017), officers were called to a home in Duntroon Street, following reports of a man damaging a house.

Police attended and spoke to a 47-year-old man who locked himself inside the premises.

About 1.45pm, police arrested the man without incident.

He was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital under police guard for assessment.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
