Man arrested for a break-in at Hillbank overnight, SA

A man has been arrested after he was caught with stolen household items from a Hillbank home this morning, according to SA Police.

Just before 4am police were called to Ashwood Boulevard after reports a man was inside the premises. The occupant was woken by her dog barking which disturbed the offender who took off. The victim was not confronted by the intruder and not injured.

Police attended and searched the area with the assistance of PD Jack and located a man nearby a short time later. Police will allege he was in possession of items stolen from the home.

A 24-year-old man from Hillbank has been charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass. He has been refused bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.
