Man arrested for robbery at Birdwood, SA

Police have arrested a man after he robbed a woman of cash at Birdwood last night, according to SA Police.

Just before 7.30pm, Tuesday 28 March, victim was leaving a business on Shannon Street when she was approached by a man who allegedly grabbed her handbag. The victim struggled but he managed to take the bag containing the days takings.

The victim who was thankfully was not physically injured gave a good description to patrols who located the man a short distance away.

The 25-year-old from Birdwood was arrested and charged with robbery. He has been refused police bail and will appear in the Mount Barker Magistrates Court today.
