Man arrested in Gepps Cross business yard, SA

A man was arrested after allegedly trespassing on a business premises at Gepps Cross this morning, according to SA Police.

A witness called police after seeing two men running from the yard of the construction business on Cavan Road, Gepps Cross about 4.15am on Tuesday 10 July.

The men had allegedly loaded a wheelbarrow with stolen tools, but left it when they were disturbed.

Police searched the area with the assistance of Police Dog Zac, who tracked one of the offenders over an eight foot barbed fence. He then found the suspect hiding behind a shipping container.

A 38-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass. He is expected to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.

The second suspect was not located at the time but investigations are continuing.
