Man arrested in Rowville

A driver who was found asleep at the wheel of an allegedly stolen vehicle has been arrested in Rowville this morning (11 October), Victoria Police say.

Rowville police were called to Natalie Close and found the man in the Toyota Corolla about 1am.

It is believed the vehicle was stolen from a Cheltenham address on 6 August.

Police also located a number of number plates in the vehicle.

The 32-year-old Cheltenham man has been charged with a number of theft offences as well as drug and traffic related offences.

He has been remanded and will appear at Ringwood Magistrate’s Court today.
