A man has been arrested on the Monash Freeway following a series of incidents this afternoon, Victoria Police say.
Police were called to reports of man brandishing a knife while driving along the Burnley Tunnel, Southbank about 4.45pm.
The driver was located and followed for a short time before he was pulled over near the Warrigal Road exit on the Monash Freeway.
The 43-year-old Emerald man, who was the single occupant of the vehicle, was then arrested.
A screwdriver was located in his car and is believed to have been mistaken for a knife in the initial reports.
The man also returned a positive preliminary breath test.
