Man arrested over city robbery, SA

A Somerton Park man will face court after he allegedly assaulted and robbed a man in the city overnight, according to SA Police.

Just before 1.30am, the two men argued on North Terrace, before the suspect allegedly grabbed the other man by the throat and robbed him of his wallet.

The two men scuffled shortly after the incident with the suspect fleeing on foot and police notified.

A short time later, the man being sought by police was found outside a city nightclub in Rundle Street.

The 31-year-old man from Somerton Park was arrested and charged with robbery.

He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
