Man arrested over death at Willunga, SA

A man has been arrested following a suspicious death at Willunga, according to SA Police.

Just before 11am on Friday 3 March, police were called to a house on Marshall Road, Willunga after reports a man had been found deceased.

The man, aged 24-year-old from the address, had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.

Detectives from South Coast CIB, with the assistance of Major Crime and Forensic Services are examining the scene.

A 24-year-old Willunga man was immediately taken into custody at the Christies Beach Police Station. He has subsequently been interviewed, arrested and is expected to be charged with murder.

He will be refused police bail and will appear in court on Monday 6 March.

Investigators wish to reassure the community that this was not a random incident. The people involved are known to each other and there are not believed to be any outstanding suspects or firearms.
