Man arrested over snake theft at Salisbury North , SA

Elizabeth Police have arrested a man following pet shop break-in last month, but are still looking for the four snakes stolen in the incident, according to SA Police.

Sometime between 4pm on Sunday (19 March) and 7.45am on Monday, a reptile store on Bagsters Rd at Salisbury North was broken into, and four non-venomous snakes were stolen (pictured).

Crime Scene investigators attended allegedly locating blood at the scene of the break-in. A subsequent DNA match of the blood led to the arrest of a 54-year-old man from Salisbury North yesterday (5 April).

The arrested man has been charged with serious criminal trespass and theft, however police have yet to locate the four snakes stolen in the incident.
