Man arrested over stabbing at Blair Athol, SA

A man has been arrested after he allegedly stabbed another man at Blair Athol this morning, according to SA Police.

At about 9.45am, police and ambulance crews were called to the intersection of Florence Avenue and Crawford Street, after witnesses had called 000 when they had found a man who had suffered a stab wound to his torso.

The victim was taken by ambulance to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for surgery. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Further investigations led police to a nearby house where the suspect was arrested.

A 35-year-old man of Blair Athol will face charges of aggravated assault cause harm, and it is expected that he will be refused bail.

Police would like to reassure the public this was not a random incident, with both men known to each other.
