Man arrested over stolen motorcycle, SA

A man has been arrested after trying to run from police at Happy Valley this morning, according to SA Police.

About 6.45am on Wednesday 7 September, patrols spotted a green Kawasaki motorcycle without a registration plate in the Happy Valley area.

On Panalatinga Road, Happy Valley, the motorcycle clipped the front of an unmarked police car and a fence at slow speed. The rider abandoned the motorcycle and ran off.

A police check of the motorcycle confirmed it had been reported stolen during a shed break-in at Glenelg North in May 2015.

Police searched the Happy Valley area with the assistance of Police Dog Oscar and quickly located the suspect. He has been arrested and taken to the Flinders Medical Centre by ambulance for treatment of minor injuries. Once released from hospital, he will be interviewed and charged.
