Man assaulted during break-in at Seaton, SA

Police are investigating a break-in at Seaton last night where a man was assaulted and money was stolen, according to SA Police.

Just after 11.30pm, police and ambulance crews were called to a house in Caruso Avenue after reports that a man armed with scissors had forced his way into the victim’s house and demanded cash.

He assaulted the victim before stealing cash and running away from the house.

The victim suffered injuries to his hands and head, and was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, about 160cm tall, medium muscular build, and was wearing a grey balaclava and jeans.

Police suspect this was not a random incident.
