Man caught speeding in western suburbs, SA

A man has lost his licence after being caught speeding earlier this morning at Alberton, according to SA Police.

Just after 5.30am on Wednesday 1 June, patrols conducting laser duties detected the driver travelling along Port Road at 114km/h in a 60km/h zone - almost double the signed speed limit.

The 24-year-old from Craigmore was issued with an on the spot fine for speeding and breaching his provisional licence conditions totalling more than $1400.

He was also issued with an immediate six month loss of licence.
