Man Charged After Abusing Teen Girl in Strathfield

A man has been charged after allegedly verbally abusing a teenage girl on board a bus in Sydney's Inner West last week.

Officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command were told about 3.30pm on Thursday 10 September 2026, a 13-year-old girl and several other passengers were travelling on a bus that had departed Strathfield Railway Station when they were allegedly subjected to verbal abuse by an unknown man.

The man allegedly got off the bus on Liverpool Road, Strathfield.

Following inquiries, officers attached to Police Transport Command Northwest, arrested a 50-year-old man at a home in Greenacre, about 2.20pm today (Tuesday 15 September 2026).

He was taken to Bankstown Police Station and charged with stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm.

He was refused bail to appear before Bankstown Local Court tomorrow (Wednesday 16 September 2026).
