Man charged after act of indecency on train - Police Transport and Public Safety Command, NSW

A man will face court after he allegedly exposed himself to a teen on a train last week, NSW Police say.

On Thursday 15 February 2018, a 17-year-old girl was travelling on a train from Redfern to south west Sydney.

Police will allege a man on the train exposed himself to the girl before exiting the train at Campbelltown.

The incident was later reported to officers from the Police Transport and Public Safety Command’s Operation Artemis who commenced investigations.

Following inquiries, a 27-year-old man attended Campbelltown police station yesterday (Wednesday 21 February 2018), where he was placed under arrest.

The man was charged with committing an act of indecency towards a victim over the age of 16.

He was granted conditional bail to appear before Campbelltown Local Court on Monday 19 March 2018.

Operation Artemis is an ongoing operation with officers from the Police Transport Command targeting those who commit indecent or sexual offences on the public transport network.
