A man has been charged as part of inquiries into aggravated burnouts in Sydney’s west on the weekend, NSW Police say.
On Sunday (11 June 2017), police received numerous reports of motorcycles and high performance vehicles driving dangerously on the M4 Motorway at Blacktown, and James Rouse Drive at Rosehill.
Officers from the Traffic & Highway Patrol Command commenced an investigation.
About 7pm today, officers spoke with the owner of a Holden Commodore at Castle Hill Police Station.
The man was issued with a Field Court Attendance Notice for the offence, owner not disclose identity of driver/passenger.
He is expected to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday 26 July 2017.
Inquiries continue.
Traffic & Highway Patrol Command’s Assistant Commissioner Michael Corboy said burnouts were extremely dangerous, not only to the driver and passengers of the car, but to other road users and pedestrians.
"This type of driving will not be tolerated and our officers will continue to target this behaviour to ensure the safety of all road users," said A/Commissioner Corboy.
