Man Charged After ATMs, Vehicles Stolen on Central Coast

Police have charged a man for allegedly stealing cash machines and vehicles on the state's Central Coast.

About 2am on Sunday 23 February 2025, officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District commenced an investigation after a licenced premise on Langford Drive, Kariong, was allegedly broken into and money was stolen.

Police found a stolen car later found burnt out on Brisbane Water Drive, West Gosford about 6.30am.

About 3am on Friday 25 March 2025, police were called to a hotel on the Pacific Highway, Ourimbah, following reports a cash redemption machine was removed from a licensed premise, however, it fell out of an allegedly stolen vehicle when leaving the scene.

Later that morning, the car was allegedly used in the alleged theft of a van, with both later found burnt out on Calais Road, Wamberal and Paton Street, Woy Woy.

About 3.45am on Tuesday 1 April 2025, police commenced an investigation after a licensed premise was allegedly broken into on Chittaway Drive, Chittaway Bay, and cash machine was allegedly stolen using an allegedly stolen car, which was later found burnt out on Debenham Road North, Somersby.

Later that day, three men were arrested at a home in Kariong. They were charged and remain before the court.

Investigations continued after a car was allegedly stolen from a premises on Dunban Road, Woy Woy, on Sunday 4 May 2025.

Following further inquiries, about 11am today (Tuesday 20 May 2025), police with the assistance of State Crime Command's Raptor Squad, attended a home on Celebration Road, Sadlier, and arrested a 37-year-old man.

He was taken to Liverpool Police Station and charged with 19 offences:

  • Aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence – in company – steal (three counts)
  • Steal motor vehicle (four counts)
  • · Drive motor vehicle during disqualification period (six counts)
  • · Be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner (four counts)
  • · Dishonestly obtain property by deception (two counts)

He was also charged with three outstanding warrants related to charges of aggravated break and enter, stolen motor vehicle, weapons and domestic violence offences.

The man was refused bail and appeared before Liverpool Local Court today (Tuesday 20 May 2025) where he was further refused bail to appear before the same court on Friday 18 July 2025.
