Man charged after break and enter in Darlinghurst

A man will face court today on several offences following an alleged break and enter in Sydney’s inner city, NSW Police say.

Just after 12am today, police were patrolling Victoria Street, Darlinghurst, following reports of a break and enter.

Police will allege they saw a man outside the shop with his face covered and upon seeing police, the man fled the scene and a short foot pursuit was initiated.

The 24-year-old man was arrested a short time later by officers attached to Kings Cross Local Area Command.

He was taken to Kings Cross Police Station where he was charged with aggravated break, enter and commit indictable offence and face disguised with intent to commit indictable offence.

The man was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court today.
