Man charged after evade police - East Tamar Highway, TAS

A 20 year old man, who evaded police on the East Tamar Highway yesterday, has been charged with a large number of offences and crimes, Tasmania Police say.

The man was charged with Stealing x 3, Breach of bail x 2, Evade Police (Aggravating Circumstances), Drive while disqualified x 4, Dangerous Driving and drug related offences.

The man appeared in the Launceston Magistrates Court this morning and was remanded in custody and is to appear at a later date.

Tasmania Police is requesting any witnesses who saw the driving behaviour of the man or have any dash cam footage to come forward and speak to police.
