Man charged after fatal crash, NSW

Police have charged a man after a fatal collision in Tarago near Goulburn yesterday, NSW Police say.

Shortly before 4pm today emergency services were called to Braidwood Road, Tarago after reports a motor vehicle collided with the rear of a motorcyclist, who was travelling with another male rider.

The rider of the motorcyclist, a 43-year-old woman, died at the scene.

The second rider, a 45-year-old man, was uninjured.

The driver of the Toyota Hilux utility, a 27-year-old man was also uninjured.

Police from The Hume Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Detectives and Crime Scene Officers attended and commenced investigations.

About 4.30pm today, police arrested a 27-year-old man at the scene where he was taken to Goulburn Base Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

He was taken to Goulburn Police Station where he was charged with negligent driving occasioning death.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday 3 May, 2017.
