Man charged after fight in Sydney

A man has been charged after another man was hospitalised following a fight in Sydney’s CBD on Sunday morning, NSW Police say.

About 3am yesterday, two men, both aged 22 and known to each other, were involved in an altercation, in the Sydney CBD, when one of the men fell and hit his head.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

Following inquiries, officers from Sydney City Local Area Command arrested a 22-year-old man.

He has been charged with recklessly cause grievous bodily harm.

The man has been granted conditional bail and will appear at the Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 11 January 2017.
