Man charged after filming women in public toilets in Narellan

A man has been charged after allegedly filming women at public toilets in the Camden and Campbelltown areas, NSW Police say.

About 1.45pm today, a 48-year-old man allegedly entered the female toilets at the rear of a business on Elyard Street, Narellen.

While inside the toilets he allegedly filmed a woman in the adjacent cubicle with a mobile phone.

The man ran from the toilets when the woman noticed the camera.

Staff members at the business were alerted and stopped the man a short distance away before police arrived.

The man was arrested and taken to Narellan Police Station. A search of the man’s mobile phone allegedly located footage taken of women in several other toilets in the area.

He was charged with eight counts of film person in private act without consent and granted strict conditional bail to appear at Picton Local Court on Tuesday 29 August 2017.
