A man will face court after allegedly drink-driving twice in one night at Frenchs Forest yesterday, NSW Police say.
Just after 6.30pm yesterday, officers from Northern Beaches Traffic and Highway Patrol Command allegedly detected an unregistered Ford Falcon driving on Glen Street.
Officers stopped the vehicle and breath tested the 44-year-old driver who allegedly produced a positive result.
The man was arrested for a breath analysis and taken to Frenchs Forest police station where he allegedly returned a reading of 0.264.
The man’s driver’s licence was immediately suspended and he was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for high-range drink driving and for driving an unregistered motor vehicle.
About an hour later, officers were patrolling Blackbutts Road when they allegedly saw the same man driving again. He was stopped and submitted to another breath test which allegedly produced a positive result.
The man was arrested and taken to Frenchs Forest police station for a second breath analysis which allegedly produced a reading of 0.229.
He was charged with high range drink driving, drive unregistered motor vehicle and drive while suspended.
Due to his level of intoxication his car keys were confiscated to prevent him driving further.
The man is due to appear before Manly Local Court on Wednesday 26 April 2017 for all these matters.
