Man charged after hindering a murder investigation, NSW

A man has been charged as part of ongoing investigations into the murder of a man in Sydney CBD late last year, NSW Police say.

Just before 7am on Monday 16 November 2015, police attended a hotel on Kent Street, Sydney, where they located the body of a 44-year-old man inside an apartment.

Detectives from Sydney City Local Area Command and State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad established Strike Force Polock to investigate the death.

Following extensive investigations, a 56-year-old man was arrested at Day Street Police Station about 10am today.

He has been charged with hinder investigation and granted bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 28 September 2016.

Three men and a woman have previously been charged with various offences in relation to the murder. They are all next due to appear at Central Local Court on Thursday 27 October 2016.
