A man will face court following the seizure of a large number of illegal tobacco products in Sydney's south west.
About 11am today (Friday 24 October 2025), officers from the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command were performing stationary random breath testing along Liverpool Road, Summer Hill.
Whilst conducting a breath test on a 43-year-old man driving a Pantech truck, police allegedly located 110 cardboard boxes of tobacco in the vehicle.
Police seized the vehicle for further inquiries.
The man was arrested at the scene and taken to Burwood Police Station where he was charged with convey etc tobacco products know of intent defraud revenue.
He was bail refused to appear at Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Saturday 25 October 2025).
Inquiries are ongoing to locate a male passenger who left the scene on foot.
