Man charged after investigation into break and enters, NSW

A man has been charged by detectives investigating a number of break-ins and property-related offences in the state’s Riverina region, NSW Police say.

In May, 2017, Griffith Local Area Command established Strike Force Chando to investigate those responsible for committing break and enter and other property related offences in Narrandera and Leeton.

Following their inquiries, yesterday, officers executed a search warrant at a home in Chantilly Street, Narrandera.

During the search officers found, and seized:

- Clothing;

- Power tools;

- Furniture;

- Make-up;

- Garden tools;

- Sporting equipment;

- Tool boxes;

- Backpacks and;

- Vehicle keys.

Police later arrested a 26-year-old man who resides at the home.

He was taken to Narrandera Police Station where he was charged with break, enter and steal (x6), break and enter with intent to steal (x1), break and enter and commit serious indictable offence (x1) steal motor vehicle, take and drive conveyance, larceny, police pursuit (Skye’s law) and driving whilst disqualified.

He has been refused bail to appear at Wagga Wagga Local Court today.
