A man has been charged following an alleged armed robbery of a pharmacy in Kanwal yesterday, NSW Police say.
Police will allege about 5.40pm (Wednesday 17 January 2018), a man armed with a firearm entered a pharmacy on the Pacific Highway, Kanwal, and threatened a female staff member.
The man fled the scene with some prescription drugs. The woman was uninjured.
Officers from Tuggerah Lakes were notified and commenced inquiries.
About 9.30pm, a 52-year-old man attended Toukley Police Station and was arrested.
He was taken to Wyong Police Station and charged with robbery with an offensive implement.
The man was refused bail to appear at Wyong Local Court today (Thursday 18 January 2018).
