Man charged after police pursuit, NSW

A man has been charged after a pursuit through Quakers Hill yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 7.25pm today, police attached to Blacktown Traffic and Highway Patrol observed a BMW sedan driving along Tallagandra Drive, Quakers Hill.

A pursuit was initiated when the driver failed to stop for police.

The pursuit continued through suburbs of Quakers Hill eventually stopping at the intersection of Richmond Road and Woodstock Drive.

Officers approached the vehicle and smashed the window to remove the keys.

The driver, a 40-year-old man was arrested and taken to Blacktown Police Station where he was charged with police pursuit – Skye’s Law and exceed speed.

He was refused bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court tomorrow.
