Police have charged a man today following a serious assault in Gosford over the weekend. , NSW Police say
About 2:30am, Sunday 21 August 2016, a 43-year-old man was walking along Donnison Street in Gosford, after leaving a nightclub.
As the man was walking, he was assaulted by another man. The 43-year-old male suffered a fractured skull and as a resulted was airlifted to Royal North Shore in a serious condition.
Police from Brisbane Waters Local Area Command were contacted and commenced an investigation.
About 6:45am today, police attended an address in West Gosford and arrested a 39-year-old man.
The man was taken to Gosford Police Station and charged with reckless assault causing grievous bodily harm.
The 39-year-old man was given strict conditional bail to appear before Gosford Local Court on Tuesday 13 September 2016.
