Man charged after shooting in Claymore

A man has charged following investigations into a public place shooting at Claymore in June, NSW Police say.

Police will allege about 4.35am on Friday 16 June 2017, a single shot was fired from the street into a home on Julian Way.

Two adults and two children were in the home at the time but were not injured during the incident.

Officers from Macquarie Fields Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene and commenced investigations.

Following inquiries, officers today, attended a home in Abrahams Way, Claymore and arrested at 23-year-old man.

He was taken to Macquarie Fields Police Station and charged with being armed with intent to commit indictable offence, possess prohibited firearm, and fire at dwelling.

The man was also charged with assault and supply prohibited drug in relation to an unrelated matter.

He was refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court today.

Investigations are continuing.
