Man charged after stabbing in Bathurst

A man will appear at court today after another man was stabbed in the Bathurst suburb of Gormans Hill last night, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to Gormans Hill Road about 8.30pm today after a 32-year-old man was stabbed, suffering a number of cuts to his head.

The incident is believed to be related to a noise complaint.

The injured man was taken to Bathurst Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not considered life threatening.

Police arrested a 42-year-old man a short time later. Two knives and an amount of cannabis were seized.

The man was taken to Bathurst Police Station and charged with wound with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail to appear at Bathurst Local Court tomorrow.
