Man charged after stabbing in Malabar

A man has been charged following an alleged domestic related stabbing in Sydney’s east yesterday, NSW Police say.

Just before 11pm yesterday, a man waved down a passing NSW Ambulance on Anzac Parade, Malabar.

The 35-year-old man was treated for stab wounds to his arm before being taken to Prince of Wales Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers from Eastern Beaches Local Area Command were alerted.

As part of inquiries, just after 12am today, police stopped a red Toyota Corolla travelling on Anzac Parade near Fitzgerald Avenue, Maroubra and arrested a 49-year-old man.

He was taken to Maroubra Police Station and charged with reckless wounding.

The man was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court tomorrow.
