Man charged after stabbing in Orange

Police have charged a man an alleged stabbing at a home in the state’s Central West yesterday, NSW Police say.

Just after 5pm yesterday, emergency services were called to a home on Adina Crescent, Orange, after reports of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers from Canobolas Local Area Command located a 34-year-old man suffering a stab wound to the right side of his chest. He was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics and taken to Orange Health Service. He has since been released.

A 45-year old man was located nearby with a minor facial injury. He was also treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics and taken to Orange health Service.

Upon his release, the man was taken to Orange Police Station where he was charged with reckless wounding (DV).

He appeared at Orange Local Court today and remains bail refused to reappear in court on Monday 24 October 2016.

The men are known to each other.
