Man charged after Strike Force Raptor South seize cash and drugs in Wollongong

Strike Force Raptor South have charged a man after locating cash and drugs during a vehicle stop in Wollongong yesterday, NSW Police say.

Just before 8pm (Friday 15 June 2018), officer’s from the Criminal Groups Squad’s Strike Force Raptor South stopped a Subaru Liberty on Smith Street.

Officers spoke with the driver – a 40-year-old Wollongong man.

During a search of the vehicle, police allegedly located cash and methamphetamine.

The man was arrested and during a search of his home on Smith Street, officers allegedly located cash, cocaine, and methamphetamine.

The man was taken to Wollongong Police Station and charged with supply prohibited drug (x2), possess prohibited drug (x2), and deal with property proceeds of crime

He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Wollongong Local Court on Tuesday 3 July 2018.
