A man has been charged after a number of alleged armed hold ups at various businesses across Sydney's west and inner west.
About 7.30am on Thursday 30 October 2025, police were called to a shopping centre on North Parade, Mount Druitt, following reports of an armed robbery.
Officers attached to Mount Druitt Police Area Command were told a man entered one of the businesses and allegedly threatened an employee with a knife before the man left scene with an amount of cash.
The employee – a 36-year-old man – was not injured.
A crime scene was established, and police commenced an investigation into the incident.
Shortly before 11am the same day (Thursday 30 October 2025), police were called to a convenience store on George Street, Burwood, following reports of an armed robbery.
Officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command were told a man entered the store and allegedly threatened the employees with a knife before leaving the scene.
None of the employees were injured.
A crime scene was established, and police commenced an investigation into the incident.
About 10.00am today (Friday 31 October 2025), officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command received information that the man was in the Burwood CBD and commenced extensive patrols of the area.
During the patrol, police were called to a shopping centre on Burwood Road, Burwood, following reports of an armed robbery.
Officers were told a man entered one of the businesses and allegedly threatened staff before leaving the scene.
A short time later, the man entered a second business on Burwood Road, Burwood and allegedly threatened staff with a knife before leaving the scene.
A crime scene was established at both locations, and police commenced an investigation into the incidents.
No employees were injured.
Following a search of the area, a 24-year-old man was located on Shaftsbury Road, Burwood.
He was arrested and taken to Burwood Police Station where he was charged with four counts of robbery armed with offensive weapon.
