Man charged after weapons, drugs seized in Blacktown

A man has been charged after a firearm, prohibited weapons, and drugs were seized by police in Sydney’s west, NSW Police say.

About 6pm today, police were called to a domestic dispute at a home on Flushcombe Road, Blacktown.

When a man opened the door to the property, police noticed a firearm inside the home.

The man was arrested and police searched the property, seizing a loaded sawn off rifle, ammunition, cannabis, as well as numerous prohibited weapons and articles including flick knives, throwing knives, a samurai sword, machete, bowing knives, knuckle dusters, and nun chucks.

The 18-year-old man was taken to Blacktown Police Station and charged with possess shorten firearm, possess ammunition, possess unregistered firearm, possess prohibited drug, and possess prohibited article/weapons.

He was also charged with fire firearm manner likely injure persons/property after making admissions to prior use of the firearm.

He was refused bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court tomorrow.
