Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man with murder after a woman was located deceased inside a residential property in Ferntree Gully yesterday morning.
Emergency services were called to the residence on Ferntree Gully Road just before 10am on 21 August and located an injured woman.
Despite efforts to revive the 30-year-old Ferntree Gully woman, she was declared deceased at the scene.
A 45-year-old Ferntree Gully man was arrested nearby and taken into custody.
The man has since been charged with one count of murder.
He appeared at Melbourne Magistrates' Court this evening via audio visual link where he was remanded to appear on 23 February 2027.
It is alleged the parties were known to each other.
