Man charged after woman indecently assaulted in South Coast

Police have charged a man after he allegedly indecently assaulted a woman on the state’s South Coast, NSW Police say.

Just after 11.30pm on Tuesday 24 January 2018, a 20-year-old woman boarded a bus at Bomaderry Railway Station, heading for Kiama Railway Station, when she was approached by a man.

It will be alleged the man sat next to the woman and started a conversation before indecently assaulting her.

The driver of the bus contacted police and the bus was pulled over a short time later along the Princess Highway, near the Kiama exit.

A 19-year-old man was arrested and taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station where he was charged with indecent assault.

He was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice and is due to appear at Nowra Local Court on Tuesday13 March 2018.
