Man Charged: Damage, Theft, Trespass in Lidcombe

A man will face court charged with alleged malicious damage and stealing offences in Sydney's west.

About 9pm yesterday, (Thursday 25 June 2026), police were told by a resident that a letterbox at a home in Francis Street, Lidcombe, had been damaged and items removed.

Following inquiries, at 1pm today (Friday 26 June 2026), officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command attended a property in George Street, Parramatta, and arrested a 40-year-old man.

He was taken to Parramatta Police Station where he was charged with three offences - destroy or damage property, dishonestly tamper with a mail receptacle and enter enclosed lands without lawful excuse.

He was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 6 tomorrow (Saturday 27 June 2026).
