Man charged following assault in Picton

A man has been charged following an investigation into an alleged assault in Picton last week, NSW Police say.

About 6pm (Friday 30 March 2018), emergency services were called to a licensed premises on Argyle Street, Picton, after reports a man had been assaulted.

Police were told the man was punched in the head a number of times by another man, before he fled the scene.

A 24-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool hospital.

Officers from Camden Police Area Command established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the incident.

Following investigations, a 24-year-old man attended Narellan Police Station where he was arrested and charged with cause grievous bodily harm to person with intent.

He was refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court today (Tuesday 3 April 2018).
