A man has been charged following the assault of a 29-year-old man who was found unconscious in Tregear at the weekend, NSW Police say.
It was just before 1.30am yesterday, when the man was found in Aurora Drive, suffering serious head injuries.
The man was taken to Westmead Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
About 9.30pm tomorrow a 26-year-old man attended Mt Druitt Police Station where he was taken into custody and charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
He was refused bail and will appear in Mt Druitt Local Court today (3 May 2016).
