Man charged following bomb hoax threat, NSW

A man will face court after allegedly making a hoax phone call to a business at Sydney Airport yesterday.

Officers from Botany Bay Police Area Command attended a business on Keith Smith Avenue about 5pm yesterday (Tuesday 4 December 2018), after staff received a threatening phone call.

With the assistance of the Traffic & Highway Patrol Command and the Public Order Riot Squad, officers searched the building with nothing suspicious located.

Following inquiries, officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command arrested a 36-year-old man at Darling Point about 6.40pm.

He was taken to Mascot Police Station where he was charged with use carriage service to make hoax threat and refused bail to appear at Central Local Court today (Wednesday 5 December 2018).
