Man charged following break-ins in Narrandera

A man has been charged following investigations into several alleged break-ins at Narrandera last month, NSW Police say.

Investigators from Griffith Local Area Command commenced Strike Force Chando to investigate several break-ins in the township of Narrandera which occurred in early July.

Six sheds, a house, and several cars were allegedly broken into with property stolen.

Two motor vehicles were also allegedly stolen and dumped nearby during the spree.

Following investigations, about 10am today, officers attended a home in Leonard Street, Hay and arrested a 36-year-old man.

He was taken to Hay Police Station and charged with break, enter & steal (x5), break, enter with intent to steal (x2), take and drive conveyance without consent (x2), malicious damage, larceny and several unrelated offences.

The man was refused bail to appear at Deniliquin Local Court today.

Inquiries are continuing.
