Man charged following Frankston shooting

Armed Crime Squad detectives have charged two men after an alleged non-fatal shooting in Frankston on Saturday (15 July), Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told a 24-year-old Frankston man self-presented at a Frankston Hospital about 11.30am after he received an alleged gunshot wound to the leg on Saturday morning.

Detectives executed two search warrants in the Frankston area yesterday and arrested two men.

A 27-year-old Frankston man was charged with intentionally cause serious injury, false imprisonment and possess firearm – unlicensed person.

A 41-year-old Frankston man was charged with intentionally cause serious injury, false imprisonment, possess firearm – prohibited person and manufacture firearm.

Both were remanded to face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
