Man charged following indecent assault on train between Town Hall and Hurstville, NSW

A man has been charged following an alleged indecent assault on a train between Town Hall and Hurstville in October, NSW Police say.

About 10pm (20 October 2016) a 22-year-old woman was allegedly indecently assaulted by a man while travelling on a train between Town Hall and Hurstville Railway Stations.

As the train arrived at Hurstville Railway Station, the woman exited the train, and later notified police of the incident.

Officers from the Police Transport Command began investigations.

About 5.45pm yesterday, following investigations, a 44-year-old man attended St George Police Station, where he was arrested and charged with commit act of indecency and common assault.

He was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on 20 December 2016.
