Man charged following joint investigation into child exploitation

Detectives from Frankston Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team and the Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team have arrested a man following a joint investigation into alleged child exploitation offences, Victoria Police say.

The 63-year-old man was today arrested after a warrant was executed at a Seaford property.

Police also seized electronic equipment at the scene.

The man has been charged with procuring and grooming a child under 16 for sexual activity, using a carriage service to transmit an indecent communication, and breaching his sex offender registration obligations.

He has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday 21 September.

The Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team is comprised of investigators from Victoria Police and the Australian Federal Police targeting online influenced child sexual exploitation offences.
