Man charged following ongoing investigation into property offences across South West Sydney, NSW

A man will face court tomorrow after he was charged in relation to 20 break and enter offences, NSW Police say.

Between April and July 2017, over 20 properties in Rosehill, Liverpool, Green Valley, Holroyd, Flemington and Cabramatta Local Area Commands, were broken into and property was stolen.

Following ongoing investigations into the matter, police attended a home on Edna Avenue, Merrylands today, where they arrested a 24-year-old man.

He was taken to Merrylands Police Station where he was charged in relation to the 20 break and enter offences.

In addition, the man was also charged with other offences including take and drive conveyance, larceny, malicious damage, possess prohibited pistol, assault, escape police custody and four unrelated warrants.

He was refused bail and will appear in Fairfield Local Court tomorrow (25 July 2019).
